History of The Light The World Parade







Produced by ARK 2 Productions and funded by the contributions of individuals, organizations and companies,The Light The World Parade made its first international appearance at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, appearing in front of over 15,000 visitors from all over the world, The Light The World Parade performed in Omonia Square in the heart of historic Athens, Greece.
The premiere for the opening night of the City Celebrations following the Opening Ceremonies of the Games, the parade led crowds in the dance, music and colorful costumes of the host nation. In addition,
The Light The World Parade cast then performed for two nights near the Olympic Village of Maroussi Square. As a result, applications for The Light The World Parade to travel and appear at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008, the World Cup Soccer Tournament in South Africa 2010, and other major events were extended.
With an all volunteer entourage of dancers, athletes, performers, technicians, and production crew The Light The World Parade seeks to bring joy and hope to a world in a time of uncertainty. The content and design for the parade is customized to meet the cultural needs of each location and its unique marketplace.
